That misconception is rapidly changing as more and more people from all walks of life are wearing tattoos. This form of body modification has always been a part of society and culture.Tattoos have assumed a wide number of roles in various societies and cultures over the years. In some circles they signified a rite of passage, while in others they displayed what tribe you belonged to. Other meanings have included skills possessed or a means to ward of illness and disease.
